3 steps to forget a bad experience
Pretend your are a movie director, and you can change every piece of your memory.
Some you make Black and white, some you cut out all together.
That is what you can do with this technique:
Take a bad memory and make it so small that you forget it.
This is best done with an experienced hypnotist or NLP person, but you are here and you read this article to get help.
I am a trained hypnotist and has help a lot of people with this technique, but then I had to do it on my self after three guys attack me. (I won, but still..)
The fun part was that it took longer to clean the blood away, than it took to remove the memory.
This is the 3 basic steps.
If you got a friend, get him/her to read this to you, or just do it step by step. Remember you can keep the memory a secret, and only get them to read the step-by-step aloud.
1. Picture your memory as a movie.
Imagine that you are in a cinema, and your are watching the memory on the screen.
Pretend that you are at the back of the room, and the movie is all the way down at the other end.
Make the camera see over your shoulder, then move it to the side. Move the camera 20 feet away.
2. Turn down the sound and the colors.
Realize that you can change the setting on the memory, and start by turning off the sound.
Suppose a radio is on and close to your seat, and it is playing lout music, that drowns out the sound.
Allow the colors to change to black and white, over the next 10 seconds.
3. Rewind the movie, and then make it smaller.
Now when you have change the sound and the color, then you need to reverse the movie, to see it with the changes. Rewind it back at 5 times the normal speed, and then see it with the changes.
See the memory with the radio playing a song to lout, and the movie is in black and white.
When you have seen it, then you make it smaller and move it into the corner of the screen.
Lift your hand and make sure that the picture is so small that you can cover it with your hand.
This can be used at every type of bad memory: rape, sexual abuse, child incest, war trauma.
The first 2-3 times you need to do it with some help, like this text, but then you can just do it.
The power of this technique is that you can keep the memory a secret. Just tell the friend that you have a bad memory, that you want to change, and could they read this 3 step aloud.
It also works the other way, if you need to recall the memory, just keep it in black and white, when you want to make it large again.
Of cause then you make it small again, at the first possibility.
But the most important is to remember:
It is Okay to forget bad memories, if they are more than a year old.
